the tax draw should be here early next week

history of the bond held by CUTPL

Bond refinancing is permitted January 2016

option 1 continue at the present 4.25% for the next 6 years to payoff

option 2 pay it off at a lower interest rate

option 3 increase the principal amount and pay it off for an additional 6 years

discussion of increasing our Internet Access capability to 100 mbps from 10 mbps

motion to increase Internet Access Capability to 100 mbps on July 1, 2016 for $613 per month (with E-Rate discount) was made by Tom and seconded by Rhonda

Karen report on Appointment of local High School Student as ex officio Board Members, names to be given at the January 2016 meeting

"Use of Rooms Policy for Non-Library Sponsored Activities"

no longer charge $10.00 per hour for-profits and social events

no longer charge for use of projector or DVD player

an upfront cleaning deposit of $25 will be collected, to be refunded at completion of event if room is left in good condition

Jan 4, 2016 to February 26, 2016 will be the adult reading program, “Snow Better

Club Fair will be held Saturday 1-16-16 from 9-3:00

1-23-16 Children’s area will present "I Am an Artist"

each child will enter a lottery by bringing an item for the local Food Pantry

fifteen children will participate

contacted by Craighton Hippenhammer representing Culver Union Twp. Heritage

Foundation (CUTH) about using our facility for digital storage and archiving

CUTH will present a proposal

Evergreen Indiana

upgrade at end of 2015 to 2.9 version, system will be down for 4 days

Starke Co Library will be joining Evergreen in 2016

Centennial Wrap-up/Holiday Open house on 12-5 went very well, asked Board members to submit a page for the Memory Book

State annual report will be completed by the end of January

Park Board: Rhonda

resignation of park superintendent; two applicants will be interviewed soon

the five year long range plan is finished

Unfinished Business:

AED has arrived and training of staff managers with CPR was discussed

Friends of the CUTPL have received MCCF grant money and raised matching funds to cover the cost

staff will not be required to have formal CPR training; any staff training will be volunteer only

storage cabinet has an alarm to notify when the door is opened

stove for staff still under advisement

New Business:

a resolution to Establish a Cash Change Fund was presented by Jim Faulkner

$100.00 will be in this fund; this is state approved

Tom moved to continue the Library Board meetings in 2016 on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, Flannery gave the second
