Review &Approval of the January 17, 2017 Register of Claims

Finance Committee:

Lisa Huntington representing Umbaugh &Associates gave an update on the Status of the bond refinancing; the closing will be March 2, 2017

Facilities Committee:

Bill presented the outcome of their PowerPoint presentation to the CRC re: possible courtyard upgrades

the goal is to review the existing policy manual in 2017 especially employment practices

Director's Report: Colleen

Volunteer hours for February were 10.5 for the Children's and Adult areas

Children's Department

Jill Gavlick will be leaving CUTPL, her last day will be 4-5-17; she has done an out-standing job in the Youth Services area

Esmie Rodgers will be leaving the main circ desk to assume Jill's vacancy; her first day will be 4-5-17

this change will require a new hire for the main desk

1-17-17 "I Am An Artist" event, was very successful and paid for by the FOL; also, a thank you goes to the Subway Mini Mart for suppling sandwiches and cookies

two family story times will be done in March on Saturdays

Summer Reading has been planned already; this will make Esmie's transition easier

Representing CUTPL, Bill will be attending a presentation by Eleven Fifty Academy in Indy; CMA and CCHS reps &students will also attend

CUTPL has plans to host a coding Boot Camp April 20-21, 2017 with teachers from Eleven Fifty Academy; CMA will pay the costs with grant money they received

Unfinished Business:

AED training : Bill said that Danny Cowell will provide training at CUTPL for $20 per person

New Business:

Resolution for Nonresident Fee

To meet required IN public library standards at this time, we are required to raise our Individual Nonresident fee from $160 to $165
