Library Collection

We currently offer the following types of items for checkout:

Materials Request

If you would like to make a request for new materials, please call the library at 574-842-2941 or use our contact form.

Children's Room

Our children's room offers a variety of services: we have books, CDs, DVDs and three computers with children's games. Take a look at our Children's Room Page for more information.

Teen Services

Our young adult area offers books, CDs and DVDs. We have three laptops computers available for use. We are currently working on a web page for this department.

Reference Services - Paid Databases

Access Newspaper Archive - Search newspapers as far back as the 1700s. Access Newspaper Archive is only available from library computers.

Ancestry.com - Search historical records for family information including photos and maps. Ancestry.com is only available from library computers.

World Vital Records - Search over 5 billion Family History records, including 1790-1940 US censuses and images, military, marriage, and death records.

Reference Services - Free Databases

APS Journals - The American Physical Society (APS) offers access to scientific journals. For more information see About the Physical Review Journals. The APS Journals are only available from library computers.

Inspire - Indiana's Virtual Library

Public Meeting Rooms

The library currently provides one large meeting room and two smaller meeting rooms on the lower level of the building.

The meeting rooms are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, and all library events and programs take precedence.

To reserve a meeting room, please read our Meeting Room Use Policy and call the library at 574-842-2941 or fill out our meeting room application and return it to the library for approval.

Computer Lab

Our computer lab currently has 16 machines available for use. Patrons may use their library card to sign on to a computer or request the use of a guest account. There are also four machines upstairs which may be used for Internet access.

Wireless Internet Access

Wireless Internet is available throughout the building, but only during operating hours.

Free Computer Classes

Free computer classes for June include Smartphone and Tablet Training.
