|Warner Williams, Sculptor|
Warner Williams was adept in many artistic fields (and many non-artistic as well), but his work is most visible locally as a sculptor. At right are images of some of Williams' many sculptures that were donated to the Culver-Union Twp. Public Library during his life and following his death and other work of his. In 1982, the Vulture piece pictured in the 6th row down, was donated to the library by Williams' wife, Jean, as part of a commemorative ceremony at the library to celebrate his life and accomplishments.
The first image is from an earlier piece of Mr. Williams, a 1930 bas relief. Click here to read the Culver Citizen article about the bas relief, which introduced Williams' work to 1930 locals.
Anyone with artwork of Mr. Williams that they would be willing to photograph for reproduction here (or allow us to photograph for the same purpose) is encouraged to contact us here.
